Kookaburra hockey are delighted to announce a new partnership with Bovelander and Bovelander Hockey Camps in the Netherlands. The hockey camps take place in over 20 clubs throughout the Netherlands and boast participation numbers of 2800 young hockey players aged between 8-16 years of age. The Bovelander and Bovelander Hockey Camps are the brainchild of Floris Jan Bovelander the legendary Dutch hockey player. Floris Jan played 241 international matches for The Netherlands and was a key member of the the Dutch national squad that won the golden medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Bovelander was famous for his devastating penalty corners scoring nine times during the 1990 Hockey World Cup in Lahore. Throughout his career he played for the Dutch club Bloemendaal winning six Dutch titles in the process. |

On the Kookaburra and Bovelander & Bovelander partnership Floris Jan remarked:
We are always looking for things that improve the quality and may increase the experience of our hockey camps "says Floris Jan Bovelander. "Besides players, trainers, training and accommodation, we prefer to choose for excellence balls and hockey sticks." Kookaburra is the largest producer hockey balls in the world. These balls have for more control and increases maximum hockey pleasure. At the B & B Top hockey camps in the hockey stadium of Rotterdam is only trained and played with Dimple Elite's exclusive ball. This is the only ball type approved by the FIH, balls for International Competitions and Olympic tournaments. Floris Jan Bovelander scored 491 goals in his hockey career, official matches with of course a Kookaburra ball!
