Q: What are the size limits for my entry?
A: When e-mailing your visual, please make sure that your file is max. 0.5 MB big. In case you become one of the winners, we will need your visual in an A4 format, 300 dpi. A bigger format would be even better.
Q: How can I submit my visual?
A: Designs can be submitted via e-mail or post. Simply provide the required information on the template page. Entrants must accept the contest rules & regulations.
Q: Can I use any pictures to create my visual?
A: You need to be the owner of the copyright and the rights of use for every picture you use in your visual.
Q: Why has my visual been rejected?
A: There can be many reasons why we may not accept your visual. Firstly, your visual needs to feature the KOOKABURRA logo. The size and positioning of the logo is up to you. Please make sure that you use the correct logo. You can download the official KOOKABURRA logo from the Download section of the competition page.
Secondly, your visual needs to answer KOOKABURRA’s brand values, the creative task and the theme of the contest. Take a look at our current range for ideas and inspiration.
Q: What is the deadline for the challenge?
Deadline for all designs – 31st August 2008
Q: Is there a minimum age to participate?
A: There is no age limit for the Kookaburra Create challenge. Entrants under 18 years of age must have the verifiable consent of his/her parent(s) or legal guardian. They also need to agree to be bound by the Rules & Regulations. Failure to provide such verifiable consent will result in disqualification. Make sure that they know. If you are a winner, the prize will be awarded in the name your parent(s) or guardian.
Q: How many visuals can I submit for each Round?
A: You can submit up to 3 visuals for final jury review. What counts is the quality of your work, not the quantity.
Q: How are the prize winners determined?
A: The winner will be determined by the expert jury that will take into account visuals fit with assessment criteria.
Q: Who is in the jury?
A: The jury consists of representatives of Kookaburra Reader Ltd.
Q: How will I know if I’m a winner?
A: The Prize Winner will be contacted by email for verification purposes. Winners will be contacted approximately 3 weeks after the competition deadline.
