CLUBS TO WIN KOOKABURRA HEADWEAR BY SIGNING UP TO MOVEMBER
On the eve of November Kookaburra is urging all local community cricket clubs to join Mitchell Starc in growing a hairy upper lip for men’s health and give your club a chance to win a customised Kookaburra headwear pack.
In 2015, the Club Cricket Cares Network raised $201,438.80 for men’s health thanks to the efforts of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas from 65 cricket clubs across Australia. Over the past eight years Movember’s partnership with Cricket Australia has raised almost $800,000 for men’s health and this year Kookaburra through its partner associations and clubs would like to help push that figure higher.
Movember aims to shine a light on men’s health, raising funds and awareness for mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer foundations.
The local cricket club is a place where males gather and is a chance to talk about physical and mental health issues, something males traditionally have not done well. Whether growing a mo or not we urge cricketers to have these discussions during the month.
And it’s not just for the men, female players and supporters are also encouraged to join-up as Mo Sistas and support the guys in their mo growing efforts.
Clubs that grow together will have a chance to win a major prize that will see Kookaburra kit out your club with a full set of customised baggy, baseball and floppy hats, along with gear from Asics.
Second prize will be a Kookaburra bat and ball signed by Australian #TeamKookaburra players.
Remember to use the hashtag #TeamKookaburra on your social media posts so we can share your efforts with the cricket community.
This is all part of Kookaburra’s new offering of customised team and headwear for community clubs across Australia. If you want to outfit your club in Kookaburra headwear or playing and training gear email: firstname.lastname@example.org
